JUDGEMENTS HAVE BEEN GIVEN IN FAVOUR OF CITN IN THE FOLLOWING CASES WITH RESPECT TO THE SUBJECT OF WHETHER THE TWO BODIES, ICAN AND CITN, COULD CO-JOINTLY REGULATE THE TAX PROFESSION: CLICK TO DOWNLOAD THE JUDGEMENTS

i. ICAN V. CITN, Appeal No. SC. 492/2013 (The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal after ICAN applied for withdrawal of the same at the Supreme Court on 16th March, 2015).


ii. ICAN V. CITN, Appeal No. CA/L/673/07(Judgement entered in favour of CITN at the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, on 15th February, 2013)


iii. ICAN V. CITN, Suit No. FHC/L/CS/125/2019 (Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos, dismissed ICAN's suit in which it sought to regulate taxation on 21st November, 2019. ICAN did not appeal the Judgement).


iv. IGBAROOLA & Ors. V. FIRS, CITN & Others Suit No. FHC/L/CS/1480/18 (Federal High Court, Lagos dismissed the suit of ICAN members, who opted to practice taxation without regulation by CITN on 21st May, 2019).
