2021 BUSINESS LUNCHEON
The Nigerian tax system is undoubtedly beset by myriads of challenges. Studies have indicated that tax laws in Nigeria are complex and difficult for the taxpayer to comprehend, and in some cases problematic, even for the tax authority officials.

Some recent monetary policy issues in Nigeria such as the adoption of Digital Currency Technology as reflected in the proposed introduction of e-Naira by the Central Bank of Nigeria have raised pertinent questions regarding its implications for taxation particularly how it would function as a safe and efficient alternative means of payment. Furthermore, the implication of adopting electronic form of fiat money issued by government has raised more questions than answers on taxation.

This event is being put together to create an opportunity in a serene environment where top business executives, policy makers, tax practitioners and administrators will come together to discuss taxation issues through the moderation of the Institute.
