Studies have indicated that tax laws in Nigeria are complex and difficult for the taxpayer to comprehend, and in some cases problematic, even for the tax authority officials.\nSome recent monetary policy issues in Nigeria such as the adoption of Digital Currency Technology as reflected in the proposed introduction of e-Naira by the Central Bank of Nigeria have raised pertinent questions regarding its implications for taxation particularly how it would function as a safe and efficient alternative means of payment.
